Get out and explore the city this month! These January is filled with local events that are fun for the whole family.

Ice Skating

When: Through the end of February. Check locations for hours.

Where: various locations

Celebrate the winter season and ice skate! Rinks in Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park, and the Lincoln Park Zoo are open through at least the end of February.

Elevated Winter Tour

When: January 14 – January 28, 2016

Boy, can it get chilly in Chicago! Winter is a perfect time to be a tourist in your own city. This Chicago winter tour will have you exploring the city with a wintertime perspective.

Fiddleheads

When: January 23 & 24, 2016 (Every Saturday and Sunday)

Hours: 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Where: Garfield Park Conservatory

Spend the weekends learning about nature. Every Saturday and Sunday, the Garfield Park Conservatory offers free programs to teach kids about the world around them. Plus, it’s a great excuse to get out of the cold!

International Kennel Club Dog Shows

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Where: Lake County Fair Grounds
